management system Standard that requires an organization
to consider, monitor and measure the quality performance
of its activities and services in order to continually
improve its performance.
Peter
Campbell the company's MD says, "The change in our
certification from ISO 9002: 1994 to ISO 9001: 2000
has allowed us to re-focus our commitment to the continual
improvement process covering both our internal and
external customers. The process approach recommended
by the Standard has resulted in a significant reduction
in the number of written procedures and work instructions.
Additionally, it has enabled us to more clearly identify
key activities within our organization and to monitor
our effectiveness in reaching stated objectives. I
would also like to take this opportunity to thank
all our staff for their input and support and in particular
Mr. Anura our Management Representative for his dedication
and expert guidance in steering us towards this significant
achievement.
